Fressingfield neighbourhood development Plan logoFressingfield Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) is underway.
Planning for the future development in our village has been something of a hot topic over the past few years. So this is the opportunity for the parish area to come together and agree what the future planning development of Fressingfield village and its wider parish community should be, until 2036. This is a government initiative to engage the local community in local decision-making and is being carried out across the country.

The NDP for Fressingfield Parish is being driven by a steering group comprising those within the community together with some Parish Council members. The NDP will not prevent or permit any of the three developments currently proposed - that power lies with Mid Suffolk District Council. However, the NDP will inform Mid-Suffolk and Suffolk County Councils in terms of future planning.

So far, the NDP steering group has contacted and spoken with as many organisations, clubs and groups in the parish as possible during July and August. The purpose of these meetings has been to gather information about the views and opinions of the members and begin to incorporate these into a presentation for everyone which sets out a vision, objectives and potential policy for the development of Fressingfield Parish area.

Inevitably we couldn’t get to everyone so now is your chance to come and have your say about what the NDP should say.

There are drop-in sessions for everyone in the parish from 0-100+ years old at the Sancroft Hall on Saturday 22 Sept from 10.30 am - 4pm and on Monday 24 Sept from 3pm - 8pm. Members of the steering group will be present to take your opinions and ideas, answer your questions and discuss what has come to light so far.

This will be the first of two major events where the steering group shares the ideas and opinions which are emerging. In May 2019 there will be a further event to which everyone can come and comment on the draft plan.

We would like you all to come along and have your say in shaping the Fressingfield of today and tomorrow. Light refreshments will be
available throughout the day.
